Poppy's Garden uses a mix of original photography, properly licensed stock images, and, occasionally, contributed visuals to bring our gardening guides and plant care articles to life. This page explains where our images come from, how we handle attribution, and what to do if you believe an image has been used incorrectly. Where Our Images Come From

Most photos on this site fall into one of the following categories:

• Original photography taken by our team in gardens, potting sheds, and test plots while researching articles.
• Licensed stock images purchased or obtained through royalty-free and rights-managed platforms that permit commercial editorial use.
• Public domain or Creative Commons images that are attributed according to the license terms set by the original creator.
• Contributed images occasionally submitted by readers, partners, or brands as part of a Collaboration arrangement, always with permission for our specific use case.

We do our best to keep records of the source and license for every image we publish, but with hundreds of articles accumulated over time, a rare misattribution or outdated record is possible. If you spot one, please tell us and we'll fix it quickly.

Attribution Practices

Where a license or platform requires visible credit to the photographer, illustrator, or agency, we include that credit in the image caption or at the end of the relevant article. If no credit line appears next to an image, it generally means either the license does not require one or the image is our own original work. We follow the specific terms of each license we rely on, including any restrictions on modification, resale, or standalone redistribution of the image itself.

Third-Party Assets

Some visuals, such as diagrams, plant identification charts, or seasonal planting calendars, may incorporate elements licensed from third-party creators. In those cases, we credit the original source directly beneath the graphic whenever the license requires it. We do not claim ownership over third-party intellectual property, and any trademarks, logos, or brand assets that appear incidentally in an image belong to their respective owners.

Reuse and Permission Rules

Unless otherwise noted, images on Poppy's Garden are intended for viewing on this site and are not released for free reuse elsewhere.
